Welcome to the FORMAN Lab! We are a research laboratory situated in the Faculty of Forestry and Environmental Management at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
RESEARCH
Forest management planning requires digital tools to predict and assess trade-offs between alternative choices and to support effective decision-making. Analytics and modelling are powerful instruments to synthesize information to better understand how management strategies affect forest changes.
In particular, we focus on the development and application of analytical tools and models to study the effects of management strategies on conservation, forest carbon, adaptation to climate change, and resource economics.
